Remembering Him in Every Moment at the Feet of Śrī Kṛṣṇa
There is a natural tendency within us to remember the Divine only at certain times. We may pray in the morning, chant for a while, or remember Him when we feel the need. But in between, the mind becomes occupied with daily life, and remembrance fades into the background. Slowly, this creates a gap, a division between “spiritual time” and “daily time.” Yet, if we observe carefully, the heart does not seek such separation, it longs to remain connected always, to carry that remembrance through every moment. When remembrance becomes continuous, even ordinary life begins to feel sacred.
That continuity begins the moment we come to the feet of Śrī Kṛṣṇa.
To live at His feet is to gently recognise that remembrance does not require a fixed method. Whether we chant silently or aloud, whether we repeat His name or simply feel connected, all are valid. What matters is not the form, but the continuity. Slowly, as understanding deepens, we begin to see that remembrance is not limited to a place or time, it can flow along with every action. When this is seen clearly, even briefly, something within begins to remain connected.
The interruption we experience does not come from lack of opportunity, but from the habit of separating remembrance from life. We think that we must finish our duties first and then remember. But in doing so, remembrance becomes occasional. Work fills the day, and remembrance becomes limited. Even though we value it, we allow it to remain secondary. This is where the connection weakens, not because remembrance is difficult, but because it is not continuous.
But when we turn towards Śrī Kṛṣṇa, something begins to shift within. We start to see that remembrance and action are not separate. We can act outwardly while remaining connected inwardly. A simple repetition of His name, a quiet feeling of presence, or a subtle awareness of Him can continue in the background. There is a recognition: “I can remain connected even while acting.” In that understanding, life becomes integrated.
In the spirit of the teachings, what matters is not how loudly we remember, but how steadily we remain connected. When everything is seen as His prasāda, even daily duties become part of remembrance. The heart slowly begins to understand: “I am not here to remember only at certain times… I am here to remain connected always.” This understanding brings a natural ease into practice. It removes the need for effortful separation.
Our forgetfulness continues when we believe that remembrance requires special conditions. We wait for the right moment, the right place, or the right mood. But when we begin to remember even in small ways, throughout the day, this pattern begins to change. The mind starts returning again and again. What was once occasional becomes frequent, and what is frequent becomes natural.
To live like this does not require complexity, it requires consistency. We continue to live, work, and fulfil our responsibilities. But inwardly, we remain connected. Slowly, a quiet flow begins to arise, not forced, but natural. A flow of remembrance that continues through changing situations, a flow that quietly supports us through every experience.
Today’s Sādhanā — Continuous Remembrance: Today, gently notice how often the mind remembers Him. In those moments, pause and turn within. Ask softly, “Can I keep this remembrance alive?” Let this question guide you. Before any action, inwardly say, “Śrī Kṛṣṇa, let me remain connected.” Let your actions continue, but let remembrance flow quietly. At least a few times during the day, close your eyes briefly and feel, “I am at the feet of Śrī Kṛṣṇa. He is with me.” Do not force this feeling, just return to it gently.
Inner Bhāva: Do not try to remember perfectly; simply remember again and again. Let your connection be simple and steady. Offer both your remembrance and your forgetfulness at His feet. Even if the mind wanders, return gently. Each return deepens your connection.
Reflection for Today: Did I remember Him throughout the day, or only at certain times at the feet of Śrī Kṛṣṇa?
Gentle Reminder: Come back to His feet again and again, not by creating time for remembrance, but by carrying it with you. Let His name remain within, and in that connection, life becomes peaceful.
Mantra for the Day: Oṁ Puruṣāya Namaḥ
